Even Novices can Achieve Great Results with ColorBond!
The SEMA Show is a great place to see state of the art car restyling, and restyling is what ColorBond is all about. At the 2019 show, many of the show cars featured interiors recolored using ColorBond LVP Refinisher. As you can see, the results were phenomenal.
However, you may think “Sure, but I bet it takes alot of talent to achieve that level of quality”. We are here to say that ColorBond is an exceptionally easy product to use, and with proper preparation, even novices can achieve fantastic results.
Check out this 1964 Thunderbird interior transformation performed by DIY hobbyist Chris Ito.
Chris says: “I used 14 cans of LVP Refinisher to complete the project. ColorBond just lays down nice. It is a thin coat that has excellent coverage. It doesn’t crack, and with the coat being thin, it doesn’t hide the grain pattern of the vinyl or plastic. When I got done it looked exactly like red vinyl! My friends couldn’t believe it. ColorBond is the best interior trim color paint I had ever used.”

Our friend Eric restyled the interior of his Mustang and the effectiveness of ColorBond made it look like it was a factory-done job! Check out these photos.
The old interior was a boring and bland beige color. Now it is all black and green. The combination is sharp and puts this mustang over the top. He used only eight cans for a total of only $120 spent. Amazing work by Eric.

Lilith Garcia has transformed the interior of her 2014 Volkswagen Jetta from somewhat boring to incredible!
Five cans of LVP Refinisher were used to paint these components – a total of only $82.45 for an incredible transformation! Custom reupholstery would have cost thousands. Since ColorBond is so easy to apply, the work was performed by Lilith, rather than a professional. Saving money in the process. The results were fantastic! We are proud that Lilith trusted ColorBond Paints to restyle the interior of her show car.

Carlos Medrano used ColorBond to restyle the interior of his 2013 Honda Civic Si show car. The results of the restyling earned Carlos the ColorBond CLeo Award in 2018.
“The original estimate from an upholstery shop came to $8,000. That was way too much money. So, we decided to just upholster parts of the console, rear seats, trunk, as well as replace the carpet and floor mats with vinyl. That reduced the price at the upholsterer to about $4,500, which saved us about $3,500. The rest of the interior I painted with ColorBond. I covered a lot of area and went through 30 cans of paint, which is about $495. Originally, I thought I would paint about 30% of the interior. Instead I painted about 85% of it. So, instead of upholstering the panels for $3,500, I painted them for $495!” Says Carlos.
