Improving Appearance with Jeep Interior Paint

 

Kevin Nebbia was tired of the agate color of the plastic interior components his 2001 Jeep TJ and found a color change was necessary. He determined ColorBond LVP Refinisher Jeep interior paint was best for the job.

After owning his Jeep for three years, Kevin decided to commence the project. While researching for automotive interior paints online, he came across YouTube videos in which ColorBond was being used. “I was really impressed after watching the Redneck Garage video. ColorBond was a little pricier than other brands, but I heard great things about it and decided to give it a try.” says Kevin.

Jeep Interior Paint Job

Kevin started by removing all of the plastic interior components and scrubbing them down with baking soda and water mixture and then lightly sanded them to create a surface for the ColorBond products to take hold of. He then applied ColorBond Adhesion Promoter before applying the LVP Refinisher. He then top-coated the Jeep interior paint with ColorBond Dash Clear Permanent Protectant as he wanted a glossy finish.

“I found while spraying the LVP Refinisher it was important to hold the nozzle button down fully to get full spray pressure and a consistent spray pattern.” Kevin advises.

Overall, the project took Kevin a few weeks between dismantling the interior, prepping and painting, and reinstallation. He says the time to spray the components with the Jeep interior paint took about six hours. To refinish the interior, ten cans of ColorBond LVP Refinisher in GMC Black were used at a cost of only $165.00.

“The Jeep turned out amazing! With ColorBond you get what you pay for!” Concludes Kevin.
