We have a choice of two clear coats which can be used on top of the LVP. #294 is a satin finish and 295 is a gloss finish.
If a touch up is needed and a silicone-based product (such as Armorall) was used, that will need to be removed before an additional coat of CB clear is added.

1. A Clear coat is used to provide more protection to areas that are touched often. ColorBond does recommend a clear coat. The out of stock item is expected to be back in stock mid-February. 2. ColorBond does not have a repair kit for missing pieces of a substrate. You may want to check out interior paint forums, they tend to have the type of information you are looking for.

I have a 2001 Toyota Avalon XL with a leather interior and am looking to paint the leather steering wheel and shifter. The exterior is beige and the interior is a tan/ivory/beige like color, most likely Ivory based on the typical leather colors for the year. The newer of the two colors is Toyota Ivory 3. Is your vehicle a Toyota or are you trying to match a GMC / Ford color? You also mention Ford Medium Light Stone, ColorBond Paint # 333.

I have a 1995 Camry LE wagon, gray interior. A few tears on top of the window vinyl where dog scratched with her claws while looking out….and sun. Another online company told me to use their ‘medium moonmist’ (according to the vin# I sent them). After using a filler then the new paint, it’s very different to the original color which against the color of the dash and other parts of the interior not faded by the sun was still quite close before the new paint.

The product covers well and makes the project (painting my interior pieces) look amazing. The project thus far is clean looking and refreshed. Only issue I have is the color is way lighter than expected which is not a huge problem but it is what it is. Definitely buying some more to finish what I started.

Yes, this would work on a leather coach or other indoor furniture. It won’t repair it, though. It would freshen up the color though.

Dakota Grey on ‘07 BMW 335i Interior

Purchased BMW Dakota Grey to touch up rear center storage compartment trim. Trim had started to peel and my kids picked at it and made it worse. Used Citristrip to remove remaining paint, then GooGon to remove most remaining residue (this is probably where I should have used Seymour prewash, but Goo Gone worked well). Then sanded thoroughly from 120 grit up to 300 grit, washed again with Dawn and then Seymour Prewash. Finally, was ready for paint. Lightly wet sanded with 1000 grit between coats to improve adhesion and smooth out imperfections (it started to sprinkle while I was painting). Was a lot of work, but the final product looks great and matches well (picture includes stock rear child seat cover for comparison). Plenty of paint left if I decide to touch up other interior elements where paint gradually rubbed off (eg where front seatbelt receiver touches center panel).

Exact match even on a 16 year old interior

Just a few words of praise for this product. ColorBond probably gets a lot of these. I recently received my order for some LVP OE Paint (CB01560000) to match GM Shale in my mom’s 2008 Buick Lucerne CXL. At first glance, the can’s cap was a close but inexact match for the interior. But, as with many spray paints, the paint itself does match. I sprayed some on a test swatch and when held against the interior door panel in direct sunlight the color match is so perfect it looks like an optical illusion because the edge of the swatch literally disappears in front of the door! Considering the original material is about 16 years old I never expected such an exacting match. Great job, ColorBond! Thanks again.
